Duties and Responsibilities: The Risk Operations Analyst will support the Commercial Card business within Card Services by performing risk and control process review related functions. This position has been created out of business growth and demand to support a new team in the Operations Risk/Control Management Department.
- Ability to independently perform the duties and responsibilities of this role and possibly lead a team of one or two analysts in completing larger process reviews and testing.
- Identify high risk transactions and/or key controls that require validation of effectiveness.
- Develop and execute test programs to verify the adequate design and effectiveness of existing controls and processes.
- Document control test plans and findings.
- Clearly communicate test results both written and verbally.
- Perform root cause analysis in order to identify and offer recommended solutions.
- Identify and document control enhancement opportunities in the company developed operations risk management tool.
- Clearly document action plans that will mitigate identified control issues.
- Monitor progress of identified action plans and evaluate to determine if fully executed prior to closing. J2WAF
Job Requirements
Required Skills:
- Minimum five years of prior experience required (preferably in areas of audit/controls/SOX)
- Risk-based process/control testing (planning, execution, reporting)
- Understanding of risk assessment, controls management, and audit methodologies.
- Strong organizational, communication, and technical skills.
- Attention to detail, good judgment, problem solving and decision making abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio) to effectively capture, document and communicate control tests, summarize findings and recommendations, and document process flow.
- Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with a variety of individuals, departments, and management levels.
- Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment and adjust seamlessly to shifting priorities.
- Self-motivated, analytical, flexible, and creative thinker.
- CPA, CIA or CFE designation is a plus Additional Details:
