Job Description / Responsibilities The Defined Benefits Benefits Administrator partners with and supports the Retirement Plan Services Defined Benefit Client Service Manager (CSM) to ensure that the CSM is able to deliver Defined Benefit products and services to Retirement Plan Services clients in accordance with our mutually agreed to contractual and operational service level agreements. Day to Day Client Service Management Support Operations/Processing - Perform automated benefit payment estimates and calculations - Prepare and mail Retirement Kits as requested - Review forms and letters received and process or respond as appropriate - Perform quality assurance of peers’ work - Review payroll error reports; work with client team on error resolution - Manage timely completion of death and QDRO calculations and payee set-up and communications - Perform batch termination processing - Perform monthly benefit payment trust reconciliation - Compile data for client reports or audits Analysis and Research - Support client team with data clean-up projects as required - Analyze data extracts for inconsistencies, reasonableness, and accuracy - Research participant escalations Process Documentation / Testing - Maintain issues log and participate in internal status meetings - Proactively identify and propose processing efficiencies - Maintain and follow processing calendar - Update administrative manuals following system releases or to incorporate process changes - Maintain participant records consistently to ensure data is accurate J2WAF
Job Requirements
Required Skills and Experience - 2+ years of related Defined Benefit (pension administration) experience - Must have experienced administering pension (Defined Benefit) plans. - Adept at Microsoft Office software programs, particularly Excel - Proven abilities to manage workload to meet deadlines with little direction - Results Oriented: Sets stretch goals for personal and team accomplishment and works tenaciously to achieve those goals - Excels at quality control, including recognizing success/failure of data feeds from/to clients and vendors - Team Oriented: Works effectively and cooperatively with other people; creates a commitment to common goals; demonstrates composure under stressful conditions - Communication with Impact: Expresses thoughts, ideas and information in a clear and compelling manner - Adaptability: Effectively copes with change: learns quickly when facing problems; remains open-minded; actively listens - Personal Accountability: Takes ownership and accountability for work and decisions, regardless of their outcome; demonstrates an ability to prioritize and a sense of urgency; ability to balance business and client needs Additional Details:
